Brief description of your legal issue
As of today one of my creditors have garnished my paycheck. I have other creditors calling and
trying to something from me. Im struggling but was able to make some of my payments. After taking
off about 25% of my paycheck i dont think ill be able to make it. What are my options?

Thank you for your inquiry. Well, of course, we wish you had asked a little sooner, but there are still options. You might be able to claim an exemption or low income under CA state law. But, that’s  a longer process with unknown outcome. You probably will have to file a Ch. 13 repayment plan, as that’s the ‘cheapest’ way to go, as it relates to up front costs. Ch. 7 ‘straight’ bankruptcy might be preferred in the big picture, but it’s more expensive up front. With a wage garnishment already in place, the up front fees can be difficult, without a friend or family members assistance. In any event, you should come in and consult with us right away, to get started on reviewing these options, balancing out the
